Waldorf Astoria NYC Renovation Gets Underway

The $5 billion renovation of Manhattan's iconic Waldorf Astoria hotel has begun. We are hearing that, unlike what happened to the Plaza, the property's parent hospitality company, Hilton, has prevented it from being completely condo-centric. For meeting groups, the new and improved Waldorf will still provide 400+ luxury rooms and many amenities that are critical for destination meeting planner. Every U.S. President since 1932, except for the current one, has stayed at the Waldorf in New York, and Shackman Associates New York has operated countless events and galas at the iconic property through the years.
